Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle capable of maintaining the riding comfortability at idle stop in a simple structure by selectively executing idle stop in a neutral state or idle stop in an in-gear state in a vehicle comprising a transmission.SOLUTION: A vehicle having an idle stop function of automatically stopping an engine under predetermined conditions is switched between a first engine stop mode of stopping the engine with the gear position of a multi-stage transmission in a neutral state and a second engine stop mode of stopping the engine with the gear position of the multi-stage transmission in an in-gear state by an operation of the driver so that the engine is stopped according to the mode set by the changeover operation, and sensing results of a gear position sensor 64, a throttle sensor 65, a clutch switch 63 and a vehicle speed sensor 66.
