VESSEL ENGINE CONTROL DEVICE AND VESSEL ENGINE CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of fuel consumption due to steering, in control where engine speed of a vessel main engine is constant.SOLUTION: An engine speed Ne of the vessel main engine of a controlled object 10 is fed back, and a deviation between the engine speed Ne and a target engine speed No is found and inputted into a control unit 11. In the control unit 11, a PID operation is performed to maintain the main engine speed Ne at the target engine speed No. A rudder angle is detected in the controlled object 10. A correction amount of a governor command is calculated on the basis of the rudder angle detected in a calculation part 12. The governor command is corrected on the basis of the calculated correction amount. The amount of correction is calculated such that a value of the governor command increases, as the detected rudder angle becomes larger.
