PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus that suppresses reduction in image recording accuracy.SOLUTION: The inkjet recording apparatus includes: a platen 36; a recording part 40 arranged above the platen 36; a pair of main conveying rollers 51 arranged behind the platen 36; a pair of paper discharging rollers 54 arranged in front of the platen 36; a guide member 70 provided so as to be rotatable between the platen 36 and a pair of the paper discharge rollers 54; a driving part; and a control part. The control part selects first recording processing or second recording processing depending on the kind of a medium 14 to be recorded and the amount of ink to be discharged by the recording part 40. In the first recording processing, the control part causes the movable guide member 70 to tilt forward before the tip of the medium 14 to be recorded reaches the movable guide member 70, and causes the movable guide member 70 to be in a supporting posture before the tip thereof reaches a pair of the paper discharge rollers 54.
