Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for sealing a coldhead sleeve of a refrigerant cooling-type magnetic resonance imaging system.SOLUTION: The systems and methods for self-sealing the coldhead sleeve of the magnetic resonance imaging system are provided. One coldhead sleeve arrangement (40) includes a coldhead sleeve (30) configured to receive therein a coldhead (28) of the MRI system and having an open end (34). The coldhead sleeve arrangement also includes a sealing member (42) coupled at the open end of the coldhead sleeve and configured in a normally closed position covering the open end.
