VERTEBRAL COLUMN IMPLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a vertebral column implant for stabilizing and fixing vertebral bodies of a vertebral column so that a stabilizing area which has an elastic connection element and a rigid area which has a rigid connection element may be connected to be separated mutually by the easiest method.SOLUTION: The vertebral column implant 1 comprises first bone screws 6, which are screwable into a vertebral body, and second bone screws 2, which are likewise screwable into a vertebral body. First connecting elements 8, which are rigid, are able to be fixed in the first receiving unit 7 of the first bone screws 6. Second connecting elements 5, which are elastic, are able to be fixed in the second receiving unit 4 of the second bone screws 2. Via a coupler 9 a first connecting element 8 is connectable to a second connecting element 5 in each case. For this purpose, the coupler 9 with a first region 10 are able to be attached in a releasable way to a second bone screw 2, in which an end region 11 of a second connecting element 5 is held. In addition, the coupler 9 with a second region 12, opposite the first region 10, are connectable to an end region 13 of a first connecting element 8.
