PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily replace a tip end tool in a portable working machine on which the tip end tool for rotating in a direction different from a shaft direction of a drive shaft is mounted.SOLUTION: The working machine includes: a gear case fixing mechanism 40 which can fix a spindle 32 at an angle that the tip ends go upward and downward with respect to an operation rod 14, and can rotate the spindle 32 around the shaft of the operation rod 14 by releasing the fixture; and a spindle fixing mechanism 50 for fixing the rotation of the spindle 32 when the spindle 32 is fixed upward by the gear case fixing mechanism 40. Thus, an operator can make the spindle 32 upward without turning the whole working machine upside down, and can fix the rotation of the spindle 32 without using the tool when the spindle 32 is upward. facilitating the replacement of the tip end tool.
