DATA ANALYSIS SUPPORT SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method to support setting of a record unit which makes an analysis resulting in a desired analysis result possible by presenting a pattern and a rule acquired from inputted data and a record number by various units of record for the inputted data before starting the analysis.SOLUTION: A processor 101 of a computer 100 forming a system executes a program stored in a memory 102, calculates a combination of property of data particle size, a range of a data scale, a pattern and a rule to be acquired, and a range of their evaluation value for the data whose particle size can be created from original data, and presents them as information about the data particle size before starting data analysis processing. It avoids retrieval and scan processing for the original data by calculating the range of the data scale, the pattern and the rule to be acquired, and the range of their evaluation value from a difference of frequency of a frequent pattern using a result of frequent pattern mining for the original data.
