SMOKE DETECTION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke detection device capable of detecting smoke generated in a desired space based on one laser beam.SOLUTION: The smoke detection device detects a generation of smoke in a smoke detection object area by irradiating a laser beam to the smoke detection object area, imaging the laser beam scattered by smoke as an image, and providing image processing. The device includes a laser beam source (10) for irradiating a laser beam, a diffraction grating (11) for converting the laser beam irradiated from the laser beam source into a plurality of laser diffraction lights and irradiating them three-dimensionally into the object area, a camera (20) for imaging the object area into which the laser diffraction light is irradiated from a direction different from the irradiation direction of the laser diffraction light, and an image processing part (30) for detecting a generation of smoke in the object area by extracting a line-like diffraction pattern generated with the laser diffraction light scattered by smoke from the image imaged by the camera.
