Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static seal in which flexibility and rigidity are controlled independently and which prevents leakage around the seal, in order to the following problems of a metal butterfly valve for a process control valve: it is suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure processes, while it is likely to wear, and consequently requires detailed maintenance, thereby increasing cost.SOLUTION: The seal includes a substantially flexible ring-shaped carrier configured to be fixed to the butterfly valve and to surround a valve body. The seal also includes a substantially rigid seal ring which has an outer peripheral surface fixed to the substantially flexible carrier, and an inner peripheral surface configured to sealingly engage a control member that operatively interacts with the valve body.
