Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of shape accuracy, by effectively suppressing uneven deformation caused by sintering distortion, in a cylindrical article including a major diameter portion and a minor diameter portion of concentric circles on the outer periphery and formed with a tapered surface provided at a transition portion from the major diameter portion to the minor diameter portion with the diameter gradually reduced.SOLUTION: The minor diameter portion 10 of the green compact 1A partially having a thin portion liable to deform by thermal expansion is inserted into a cylindrical tool 20, the outer periphery 10a of the minor diameter portion 10 is closely fitted to and constrained by the inner periphery 20a of the tool 20 during sintering to suppress the outward deformation of the minor diameter portion 10.
