Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for dehydrating glycerin, which enables acrolein to be produced while reducing the amount of the propionaldehyde to be produced as a by-product and to provide a method for producing the acrolein by using the catalyst.SOLUTION: The catalyst for dehydrating glycerin contains the metal phosphate including phosphorus and at least one element selected from group 2 elements and has >1 ratio M/P of the molar number M of an alkaline earth metallic element, a metal element of an aluminum group or a rare-earth metal element to the molar number P of the phosphorus and has an apatite crystal at the least. The method for producing the acrolein comprises a step of dehydrating the glycerin in the presence of the catalyst for dehydrating the glycerin. |
