Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcapsule type electrophoretic display panel having high see-through property, which is suitable for a see-through type image display device allowing rewriting of a display image, and to provide a method for manufacturing the display panel.SOLUTION: The microcapsule type electrophoretic display panel 1 comprises a first substrate 2 having a first electrode layer 10, a second substrate 4 having a second electrode layer 14 disposed opposing to the first substrate 2, and a microcapsule layer 6 interposed between the first substrate 2 and the second substrate 4 and containing a plurality of microcapsules 18 in which electrophoretic particles 24 are sealed in a transparent dispersion medium 22. The occupation rate of the microcapsules 18 in the microcapsule layer 6 is in the range from 50% to 70%.
