TRANSFER DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain change in a distance of a image carrier belt from an image forming part to a transfer nip.SOLUTION: The transfer device includes: a first tension roller winding the image carrier belt, wound around a drive roller, around itself and applies tension T1 to the image carrier belt; a first tension application part having a proportional coefficient K1 and used for generating the tension T1 to be applied to the image carrier belt by the first tension roller; a roller winding the image carrier belt, wound around the first tension roller, around itself; a second tension roller winding the image carrier belt, wound around the roller mentioned right above, around itself and used for applying tension T2 to the image carrier belt; and a second tension application part having a proportional coefficient K2 smaller than the first proportional coefficient K1 and use for generating the tension T2 to be applied to the image carrier belt by the second tension roller.
