FLAT TYPE OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE SENSOR MEASUREMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate a series of operations such as assembly of a liquid reservoir component, drop of solvent, disassembly of the liquid reservoir component, discarding of the solvent, in a measurement using a flat type optical waveguide sensor chip.SOLUTION: The flat type optical waveguide sensor measurement apparatus comprises: a support part 22 for supporting a flat type optical waveguide sensor chip S in a direction in which solvent falls by its own weight from a sensor surface Sa of the flat type optical waveguide sensor chip; a reading device 30 which is provided facing a back surface Sb of the flat type optical waveguide sensor chip S supported by the support part 22 and which includes a laser diode 32 for irradiating the flat type optical waveguide sensor chip S with laser light L and a photo diode 33 for measuring intensity of the laser light L propagated through the flat type optical waveguide sensor chip S; a liquid reservoir component supplying mechanism 60 for supplying a well W attachably/detachably to an area including the sensor surface Sa of the flat type optical waveguide sensor chip S supported by the support part 22; and a solvent supplying device 70 for supplying the solvent M to the sensor surface Sa of the flat type optical waveguide sensor chip S.
