Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for performing vehicle control for an object approaching from an adjacent lane.SOLUTION: A vehicle is controlled so that a distance between an object and the vehicle in the vehicle advancing direction with the object as a controlled object existing on a lane in which the vehicle is traveling and a boundary between the lane in which the vehicle is traveling and an adjacent lane adjacent to the lane is detected. Then, an object existing ahead of the vehicle is detected, and if the detected object exists in an area in the vicinity of the boundary including the border when the vehicle is controlled, processing including the object as the controlled object is performed. Thereby, if an object traveling in the own lane is set as a controlled object for the vehicle, risk of collision between the object existing in an area in the vicinity of the boundary including the boundary and the vehicle can be eliminated.
