PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give an image to a medium, which specifies that reading has performed, without soiling the medium.SOLUTION: An image reading device (U1) includes: a conveyance path (SH0) for conveying a medium (Gi) where a reading object image is recorded in the front surface; a reading member (CCD) for reading the image of the medium (Gi) at a reading position (PG1) predetermined in the conveyance path (SH0); and a recording member (6) arranged on the more downstream side of the conveyance direction of the medium (Gi) than the reading position (PG1) so as to record an invisible specific image (11) which is the specific image (11) for specifying the termination of reading in the medium (Gi) from which the image is read by the reading member (CCD).
