PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester enabling a raking part to be easily made to ascend or descend, with a low-cost construction.SOLUTION: The combine harvester comprises: an ascendingly and descendingly operative part 30 installed at a steering section 8 and capable of winding a wire 20 connected to a support part 12 and capable of ascendingly operating a raking part 3; an impelling mechanism 13 imparting the support part 12 with ascendingly impelling force in the direction of making the raking part 3 ascend; and a height-adjusting mechanism 36 impelled so as to be fastened on the ascendingly and descendingly operative part 30, fastenable on the ascendingly and descendingly operative part 30 at a plurality of points along the rotating direction and also capable of making an unfastening operation, and when fastened on the ascendingly and descendingly operative part 30, permitting the rotation of the ascendingly and descendingly operative part 30 in the direction of the raking part 3's ascending and inhibiting the rotation of the ascendingly and descendingly operative part 30 in the direction of the raking part 3's descending. In this combine harvester, the ascendingly impelling force is set so that the force around the swing axis P acting on the support part 12 based on the ascendingly impelling force is made smaller than the force around the swing axis P acting on the support part 12 based on the dead weight of the raking part 3.
