FASTENER AND ELECTRIC CONNECTOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener 20 which has a simple structure, can attain secure locking and is low in processing and management cost, and an electric connector 10.SOLUTION: A fastener 20 is molded in a single piece including engaging means for engaging with a mating object and attaching means by press-working of conductive material, and has conducting means for conduction with a shell 16. The engaging means comprises a female screw part 22 in the direction of fitting to the mating object. An electric connector 10 comprises multiple contacts 14, a housing 12, the shell 16, engaging means for engaging with the mating object, and attaching means for attachment to a board. In the electric connector 10, the fastener 20, which is a single piece including the engaging means and attaching means by press-working of conductive material and has the conducting means for conduction with to the shell 16, is arranged. The female screw part 22 is formed in the direction of fitting to the mating object as the engaging means for the fastener 20, and the shell 16 and the conducting means of the fastener 20 are brought into conduction with each other.
