Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an air flow rate meter that reduces a variation in detection characteristics of each air flow rate meter caused by a coated resin.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for an air flow rate meter includes at least the processes of: electrically connecting by a wire 8 a multilayer ceramic substrate 11A on which a plurality of ceramic substrates 1a-1e having conductors 2, 3, and 16 formed thereon are stacked, and an air flow rate measuring element 12 arranged in the ceramic substrate 11A; and coating the wire 8 with resin 9 by flowing the resin 9 into the connected wire 8. In the manufacturing method, a projection 7A as a molding part for molding the resin to be flowed into in a predetermined shape is provided on a surface 1a of the flow rate measurement side of the multilayer ceramic substrate 11A having the air flow rate measuring element 12 arranged thereon before the process of coating the wire 8 with the resin 9, and the resin 9 is molded in the shape when the wire 8 is coated with the resin 9.
