Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for cooling a combustor.SOLUTION: The combustor (10) includes a combustion chamber (20) and interior walls (16 and 18) circumferentially surrounding at least a portion of the combustion chamber (20) and defining an exterior surface (22). A plurality of turbulators (28) are on the exterior surface (22). The combustor (10) further includes means for preferentially directing fluid flow across a predetermined position (34) of the turbulators (28). A method for cooling the combustion chamber (20) includes locating the plurality of turbulators (28) to the exterior surface (22) of the combustion chamber (20) and preferentially directing fluid flow across the predetermined position (34) of the plurality of turbulators (28).
