MACHINE TOOL AND MACHINING METHOD OF MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool which can stably hold an end of a material clamped in the main shaft and machine with high accuracy, and also to provide a machining method of the material.SOLUTION: The machine tool is provided, in the tip end part of a machining material clamped in the main shaft 1, with a holder machining part 17 for machining the holder that holds the end of the material clamped in the main shaft 1. The machine tool also includes a holder machining part delivery means that cuts across the holder machining part 17 from the material to deliver to a counter shaft; and a holder machining means that machines the holder machining part 17 clamped in a counter shaft into the holder 16. A product machining means which machines a product of a predetermined shape from the material clamped in the main shaft 1 is structured to machine the material, from which the holder machining part 17 is cut across, by holding with the holder 16.
