Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus of low energy consumption in which an absorption liquid consisting of a nonvolatile ionic liquid is used, which actuates on the pressure swing from normal pressure to vacuum in the ordinary temperature, and which can purify environment in high efficiency by non-heating condition.SOLUTION: The environment cleaning method which enables the reduction of thermal energy, and the apparatus thereof comprise as follows. The air of a living space is made to act on an ionic liquid in an absorption tower, the carbon dioxide contained in the air is made to be selectively absorbed and is removed, the purified air is returned into the environment. Meantime, carbon dioxide is desorbed under the depressurization or vacuum condition from the ionic liquid which has absorbed carbon dioxide in a desorption tower, the ionic liquid is reproduced, these are repeated, and thereby the environmental space is purified only by the pressure swing in the ordinary temperature. In addition, in closed spaces such as a space station, carbon dioxide is selectively removed from the air containing carbon dioxide which human being or the like exhausts to thereby achieve purification of the air.
