Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent charging with a non-compliant battery pack or a non-compliant charging device by determining whether or not a connected battery pack or a connected charging device is a normal product with high accuracy.SOLUTION: When a battery pack 3 is connected to a charging device 2, a microcomputer 17 determines whether or not the communication with the charging device 2 is possible. When the communication is possible, the microcomputer 17 instructs a microcomputer 15 to output a pattern current. The instructed microcomputer 15 controls a voltage and current setting circuit 14 based on current pattern generation information that is read from a memory 15b, and generates a current pattern for identifying the charging device. The generated current pattern is detected by a current detector 19. The microcomputer 17 compares the readout current pattern with a current pattern stored in a memory 17a. When both current patterns coincide with each other, it is determined that the charging device is a normal product, and charging is started. When both current patterns do not coincide with each other, it is determined that the charging device is a non-normal product, and a control signal is outputted to a cut-off part 20 to cut a charging path off. |
