COUPON ISSUING PRINTER, COUPON ISSUING METHOD WITH PRINTER, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupon issuing printer which does not require significant modification work such as a change of a control program of the whole system or considerable cost or time, when adding to an existing POS system a function for issuing a coupon corresponding to a customer's taste (preference) determined based on the names of commodities purchased by the customer.SOLUTION: The printer includes a receipt printing data reception part for receiving receipt printing data from a POS terminal, a commodity name extraction part for extracting commodity names from the receipt printing data, a preference determination part for determining the customer's preference through retrieving the commodity names extracted based on the commodity name → preference correspondence database preliminarily stored, a coupon determination part for determining a coupon corresponding to the determined customer's preference from the coupon database preliminarily stored, based on the preference → coupon correspondence database preliminarily stored, a printing part for printing the determined coupon, and a control part for controlling the receipt printing data reception part, the commodity name extraction part, the preference determination part and the printing part.
