Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a LED lighting device for a headlight that can give the light of the same brightness through a period from right after lighting until stable lighting, and to provide a method for inspecting the same.SOLUTION: The LED lighting device stores, as a target power value in a memory 5, a value of power supplied to a LED unit 10 during stable lighting in a lighting operation previous to the current lighting operation, performs constant power control in which output power equivalent to the target power value stored in the memory 5 is supplied during a period from the start of lightning until reaching stable lightning in the current lightning operation, and switches to constant current control for outputting a predetermined current if reaching stable lighting, and lights an LED.
