WIND POWER GENERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind power generator that has an economically profitable configuration and that is capable of performing efficient power generation according to a changing wind speed.SOLUTION: The wind power generator includes: a wind turbine 1; a main spindle 2; generators 3, 4 connected with the main spindle; power converters 11, 13 that convert AC power generated by the generator 3 and supplies the power to an AC power system 17; a switch 15 that is connected with the generator 4 and supplies generated AC power to the AC power system; a wind turbine speed change control part capable of changing a rotational speed of the wind turbine; an anemometer 32; and a power generation control part 31. The power generation control part controls the power converter connected to the generator 3 according to a wind speed and, when the wind speed exceeds a predetermined wind speed, the generator 4 is made to supply AC power to the AC power system by the switch 15.
