PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet music preparing apparatus and a sheet music preparing program that enable automatic editing of sheet music easily readable by performers.SOLUTION: A sheet music preparing apparatus comprises: dividing means 42 that executes division of notes contained in sheet music information prepared on the basis of musical data, such as MIDI data, into a plurality of sets of notes mutually linked by ties into units of reference notes of a predetermined kind; and combining means 44 that executes combination of the plurality of sets of notes mutually linked by ties contained in the sheet music information subjected to division by the dividing means 42 into singular notes in units of the reference notes, and thereby makes possible, by correcting the individual notes contained in the sheet music on the basis of the reference notes suitably determined according to the beat of the pertinent musical work, editing of sheet music that facilitates sensing of beats by performers.
