Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a C/C composite whose coefficient of friction at a low temperature is high compared with a C/C composite and temperature dependence of coefficient of friction is controlled, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: By using a thermal CVD method such as an alcoholic CVD method to form carbon nanotubes (CNT) on the surface of a C/C composite, the C/C composite whose coefficient of friction at a low temperature is raised and temperature dependence of a coefficient of friction is improved and which has friction characteristics excellent in a broad temperature range and is suitable as a constituent material for application with intense temperature change like brake materials of vehicles of automobile, motorcycles, etc. and aircrafts etc. can be provided.
