AUTOMATIC OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE FOR TOILET SEAT AND TOILET COVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic opening/closing device for toilet seat and toilet cover which are advantageous for eliminating inconvenience of feeling a load on turning operation upon turning an opened toilet seat or toilet cover in a closing direction by fingers into a closing direction.SOLUTION: The automatic opening/closing device includes a toilet seat 2 attached to a toilet 100, a toilet cover 3 attached to the toilet 100, a drive mechanism 4 to open/close the toilet seat 2 or the toilet cover 3, and a controller 5 to output an instruction signal to open the toilet seat 2 or the toilet cover 3 into an upright state against the toilet 100. The controller 5 carries out brake control to act a brake on the drive mechanism 4 on opening the toilet seat 2 or the toilet cover 3 into an upright open state or deceleration control to gradually decelerate an opening speed of the toilet seat 2 or the toilet cover 3 in an upright open state or as approaching to the upright open state to the drive mechanism 4 for a first predetermined time and releases the brake control or the speed control after the first predetermined time t1 passes.
