Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular brake holding force control device capable of realizing smooth start of a vehicle without any sense of incongruity by changing the timing of releasing the hold of the brake force according to the gradient of a road surface on which the vehicle is stopped and the state of the hydraulic pressure of an automatic transmission.SOLUTION: The vehicular brake holding force control device has an automatic transmission 4 to be driven by the hydraulic pressure, blocks the communication between a master cylinder 11 and a wheel cylinder 12 by a solenoid valve 14 provided on a hydraulic passage 13 for communicating the master cylinder 11 of a brake device 7 with the wheel cylinder 12, and holds the braking force by remaining the brake hydraulic pressure in the wheel cylinder 12 even after the step-on of a brake pedal 9 is released. An ECU (control means) 3 is provided, which determines that the vehicle can be started at the timing if the hydraulic pressure of the automatic transmission 4 exceeds the predetermined threshold when the vehicle is stopped.
