Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure and indicate power consumption correctly.SOLUTION: The range is adjusted by controlling on/off of the conduction state of a plurality of resistors Ra, Rb, Rc provided in an amplification circuit 48 by means of switches S1, S2. When turning on/off the switches in order to select a range, on/off control of the switches S1, S2 is performed according to the state of an image forming apparatus when a power conversion section 44 acquires the state information because power consumption is known previously for every state of the image forming apparatus thus pre-selecting a range for measurement of power consumption.
