Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method which easily and surely forms a functional coating film having high weatherability by electrostatic coating.SOLUTION: A polyester powder coating composition and a fluorine powder coating composition are dry-blended in a mixing ratio of 7:3. After the blend is electrostatically applied to an object to be coated, the object to be coated is heated in the atmosphere. As particles of the powder coating compositions are irregular in shape, gaps are formed between the particles of the powder coating compositions in the electrostatically applied coating powder layer. It is thought that the polyester powder coating composition having a low thermal melting temperature is first melted by the atmosphere heating and passes through the gaps in the coating powder layer to form a base coating film as a lower layer, and the fluorine powder coating composition having a high thermal melting temperature is subsequently melted to form a coating film having a function of ensuring weatherability on the surface layer so as to place it on the base coating film. A fluorine coating film is placed on the surface layer without uniformly distributing the coating compositions in the coating film by using the hot blending and a difference in melting times of the coating compositions caused by the temperature rise of the object to be coated, whereby a functional coating film having a reduced use amount of fluorine can be obtained.
