Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically create a moving image intended by a user from moving images taken in fragments.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes a suspension/restart determination unit which determines suspension and restart of recording of a moving image which is being taken by an imaging unit provided in an imaging apparatus body; an unnecessary portion determination unit which determines an unnecessary portion of the moving image based upon at least one of a change in a state of the imaging apparatus body and a change in a state of the moving image, during at least one of a first inspection period before the suspension and a second inspection period after the restart; and a recording control unit which records the moving image during the suspension period from the suspension to restart and the moving image excluding the moving image determined to be the unnecessary portion, as one video file.
