PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information storage medium and an optical information storage medium reproducing device that can prevent specific data stored in an RE layer from deteriorating and being unreproducible against a user's will.SOLUTION: An optical information storage medium 100 comprises: on a substrate 50, a plurality of information storage layers (a ROM layer 20 and an RE layer 40) from which information can be read out by reproduction light; an intermediate layer 30 for separating the information storage layers from each other; and a light-transmitting layer 10 provided at the farthest position from the substrate 50. The information storage layers include the ROM layer 20 from which information can be read out only, and the RE layer 40 including a region in which information can be rewritten. The optical information storage medium 100 stores information of applicable appliances based on which a corresponding optical disk determines whether specific information stored in the RE layer 40 can be reproduced or not.
