PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device, a manufacturing method thereof, and electronic equipment that can prevent bearing components from coming out of attachment holes and minimize an increase in manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: An optical pickup device 2 includes an object lens mounting portion 21, a base portion 22, bearing components 23, and bearing component holding portions 24. An objective lens 29 is mounted on the objective lens mounting portion 21. The objective lens mounting portion 21 is fixed to the base portion 22. A first guide shaft 11 for supporting the base portion 22 is inserted through the bearing components 23, and the bearing components 23 are formed into a cylindrical shape. The bearing component holding portions 24 are formed in continuous with a side portion of the base portion 22 and have attachment holes 31 to which the bearing components 23 are attached. One ends of the bearing component holding portions 24 have projections 36 projecting inward in a radial direction from inner peripheral surfaces of the attachment holes 31.
