PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying device that can make a copy so as not to generate a content in which number of times of copying is relatively less when contents having the same contents are recorded in recording areas independent of each other.SOLUTION: A copying device includes a disk drive part 330 for reading out the content in which number of times of copying is set from any of a plurality of different recording media or from any of a plurality of different recording areas provided on the single recording medium and for writing the content in a detachable recording medium, and a drive control part 320 for reducing number of times of copying for the contents excluding the content in which number of times of copying is the least, out of the above contents recorded in each of the multiple recording media or each of the multiple recording areas when the above copying means writes the content in the detachable recording medium.
