Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pretreatment apparatus for membrane separation having zeolite membranes with an elongated service life, and a membrane separation method using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a membrane separation method for separating a treating object consisting of a liquid mixture or a gaseous mixture by bringing the treating object into contact with the zeolite membranes. Prior to bringing the treating object into contact with the zeolite membranes, the zeolite particles filled in the pretreatment apparatus 3 independent from membrane separation apparatuses 11-16 having the zeolite membranes are brought into contact with the treating object.
