CUTTING APPARATUS AND CUTTING AND DEMOLITION METHOD FOR WALL STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire saw type cutting apparatus for cutting a reactor shielding wall to demolish it, and a method for cutting the reactor shielding wall by the cutting apparatus to demolish it.SOLUTION: A cutting apparatus includes a first frame that is equipped with a pair of guide masts straddling a wall structure and sandwiching inner and outer surfaces of the wall structure, and a second frame that is movably placed on the first frame and equipped with the pair of guide masts. A wire saw going around along the pair of guide masts of the second frame, a drive device for making the wire saw travel, and a tension control device for adjusting traveling tension of the wire saw are installed in the second frame. A lower portion of each guide mast is provided with a holding device for sandwiching the inner and outer surfaces of the wall structure. A transfer drive device for moving the one frame relative to the other frame is installed between moving surfaces of the first and second frames. A hoisting and lowering drive device for vertically moving each guide mast is installed on each guide mast.
