Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device that achieves safer operation, even in an emergency such as a fire etc.SOLUTION: The elevator device includes: a cage; a main rope for supporting the cage; a hoisting machine set up in the cage; a driving sheave, which is installed in the hoisting machine, in which a main rope is wound up, and also which is driven by the hoisting machine; and a governor, which is arranged at the cage, for controlling a power supply supplied to the hoisting machine when the cage travels at a speed exceeding a predetermined speed.
