THERMAL HEAD AND THERMAL PRINTER EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head which can alleviate occurrence of disconnection of electrode wiring lines formed on a substrate and can cut down working processes of the substrate, and to provide a thermal printer equipped with the same.SOLUTION: The thermal head X includes: the substrate 7 of a rectangular shape in a plan view; heating parts 9 provided on the first end surface 7a of the substrate 7; first electrode wiring lines 19 and 21 each having one end connected with each of the heating part 9 and extended over a top surface from on the first end surface 7a of the substrate 7; and second electrode wiring lines 17 each having one end arranged oppositely to one end each of the first electrode wiring lines 19 and 21 to be connected with the heating parts 9 extending over the top surface of the substrate 7 from on the first end surface 7a of the substrate 7 passing on a bottom surface and a second end surface 7b. A region of the second electrode wiring line 17 located on corner parts 7c and 7d of the substrate 7 formed by at least either of the top surface and bottom surface of the substrate 7 and the second end surface 7b of the substrate 7 is coated with a coating layer 30 formed by plating.
