Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting the runout of a tool, which does not tend to be affected by the vibration generated during a tool replacement operation when the runout of a tool is detected when the replacement operation of the tool T is performed.SOLUTION: This method of detecting the runout of a tool for a machine tool 10 including at least two machining spindles 36 to which the tool T can be detachably mounted includes: an oscillatory waveform detection step of performing the replacement operation of the tool T on one machining spindle 36 and detecting the oscillatory waveform generated by the replacement operation; a frequency specifying step of specifying a frequency at which the oscillation is maximum based on the detected oscillatory waveform; a scanning time set step of setting a cycle in a frequency band higher than the specified frequency as a scanning time used when the runout of the tool T is detected; and a tool runout detection step of performing the replacement operation of the tool T on one machining spindle 36 and detecting the runout of the tool T in the set scanning time while rotating the other one machining spindle 36. |
