Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bit pattern medium in which the generation of reverse magnetic domain in a servo region is prevented, the SFD in data area is reduced and the single magnetic domain performance is enhanced and to provide a magnetic recording replay device using the medium.SOLUTION: A bit pattern medium includes a magnetic recording layer having patterns made from concave and convex formed. One convex is made from a plurality of fine crystal particles. The average distance between the fine crystal particles in the convex is within the range of more than 0.5nm and less than 3.0nm. The magnetization inversion start magnetic field (Hn) and a coercive force (Hc) in a hysterisis curve of the convex having a length in the medium radius direction of more than 1 μm respectively satisfy the formula; Hn≥1.5kOe and 0.5kOe≤Hc-Hn≤1.5kOe.
