PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus for improving convenience by allowing a user to reproduce an advertisement sound and an advertisement image at an arbitrary timing.SOLUTION: An RF part 11 and a baseband part 12 receive an advertisement sound multiplexed on a signal from a switchboard during a first period from the transmission of a transmission signal to the transmission of a response signal from an opposite-side terminal or a second period after the transmission of a clearing signal from the opposite-side terminal. An advertisement processing part 13 reproduces the received advertisement sound in the first period or the second period. When the reproduction of the advertisement sound is completed, the advertisement processing part 13 transmits a confirmation notification to the switchboard. Thus, the user can reproduce the advertisement sound at an arbitrary timing, so as to improve convenience.
