Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reforming efficiency of a reformer in which a raw fuel is reformed to obtain hydrogen.SOLUTION: A carrier 14 in the reformer is configured by supporting a reforming catalyst on a substrate 32 through a supporting layer. The substrate 32 is made of an Fe-Cr-Al alloy and the supporting layer comprises needlelike AlOdeposits deposited and grown from Al in the alloy as a source. The reforming catalyst is supported on the needlelike AlOdeposits (the supporting layer).
