PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a password input device capable of inputting a high-security password with simple operation.SOLUTION: A password input screen 100 is capable of displaying multiple password setting images 113 for which an on-screen position and color are designated, in accordance with operation input for operation input means of a remote controller etc., and determines an input password in accordance with the on-screen position and color of the password setting image 113. For example, 16 (4×4) input areas 111 are set in advance, and existence of the password setting image is determined for each of the input areas. When the password setting image is existent, the color is determined, and the password is determined using setting information in all the input areas 111.
