Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved device for detecting a small amount of nitric oxide and/or the other gaseous analyte in a gaseous sample.SOLUTION: A device for detecting nitric oxide in a gaseous sample includes a sensor which combines with both of nitric oxide and carbon monoxide and undergoes a detectable change by being combined with nitric oxide, and further includes a metal or metal oxide carbon monoxide scavenger for producing oxidation of carbon monoxide. The metal or metal oxide carbon monoxide scavenger is held in a housing, in a package in which the device is housed, or in the device. The carbon monoxide scavenger is confined to a localized region that is separated from the sensor by 3 mm to 300 mm such that a variation in the nitric oxide detection caused by the scavenger is less than the greater of 1 ppb in a nitric oxide concentration and 10% of the amount of detected nitric oxide. |
