PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location information providing system, a server device, a terminal device, a location information providing method and a program which can inhibit unconsidered disclosure of detailed location information.SOLUTION: The location information providing method comprises the steps of acquiring, when current location information with a map display request from a first terminal device among a plurality of terminal devices is received, map data including the received current location information, specifying, based on preliminarily stored current information of the plurality of terminal devices, a second terminal device whose location defined by the stored current location information being included in a region of the acquired map data, creating ambiguous location information that ambiguously specifies current location information of the second terminal device on the acquired map data, transmitting the ambiguous location information together with the map data to the first terminal device, and causing the first terminal device to display the ambiguous location information of the second terminal device.
