SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device that can effectively correct various kinds of noises.SOLUTION: A third optical black unit 13 is disposed in parallel to a first optical black unit 11 in a line direction and in parallel to a second optical black unit 12 in a column direction. A vertical streak correction circuit 22 averages black level signals from the first optical black unit 11 every column and adds/subtracts the average signal to/from an output signal of an effective pixel unit 14. A lateral streak correction circuit 21 averages black level signals from the second optical black unit 12 every line and adds/subtracts the average signal to/from an output signal of the effective pixel unit 14. At least one of the vertical streak correction circuit 22 and the lateral streak correction circuit 21 adds/subtracts the average signal of signals read out from a third optical black unit 13 to/from the black level signal.
