OFDM COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform connection processing normally between a master unit and a slave unit even if a communication environment is bad and usual connection processing between the master unit and the slave unit fails.SOLUTION: In an OFDM system, a master unit accommodates a slave unit, and the master unit and the slave unit communicate with each other by means of a plurality of carrier waves. The OFDM communication system comprises: connection processing failure detection means for detecting a failure of connection processing between the master unit and the slave unit; master unit-slave unit change means for changing the function of the master unit to the function of the slave unit; and slave unit-master unit change means for changing the function of the slave unit to the function of the master unit. If the connection processing failure detection means has detected a failure of connection processing between the master unit and the slave unit, the master unit-slave unit change means changes the function of the master unit to the function of the slave unit, and the slave unit-master unit change means changes the function of the slave unit to the function of the master unit, and re-connection processing is performed between the function changed master unit and slave unit.
