BLOWER FAN AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blower fan capable of maintaining reliability for long hours even if rotated at high speed and of accommodating reduction in the size and weight.SOLUTION: The blower fan 100 includes a rotor 10 arranged to rotate about a rotation axis together with a shaft 20, a stator 30 arranged radially outward of the rotor 10 and opposite the rotor 10, a motor support unit 40 arranged to support the shaft 20 through a bearing 60 such that the shaft is rotatable, and an impeller 50 arranged to rotate together with the shaft 20. The motor support unit 40 includes a base 41, a bearing support unit 42 arranged to support the bearing 60, and a stator support unit 43 arranged to support the stator 30. Each of at least part of the bearing support unit 42 which is in contact with the bearing 60 and at least part of the stator support unit 43 which is in contact with the stator 30 is constituted by metallic members 421a, 421b, 431 bonded to the base 41, which is made of a resin, through an insert molding.
